Registration is a word, not an assessment
Search results for emotional support animal registration can lead to packages with certificates, tags, ID cards, and a listing in a privately operated database. Before paying, ask what the seller is actually providing. Is there a professional evaluation, or only an accessory and a database entry?
A registration number does not explain your disability-related need. Buying a certificate also does not train an animal to perform a service task. These distinctions matter because the search phrases “register my dog,” “ESA certification,” and “get an ESA letter” often describe very different purchases.

Begin with your own needs and a qualified professional, not a pet registration checkout. Explain your circumstances and how the animal supports you. Let the clinician determine whether documentation is appropriate.

What about free ESA registration?
A free listing may be harmless as a personal record, but price does not change what it establishes. Ask the same questions of a free offer as a paid one: who evaluated you, what professional service is involved, and what use does the provider actually support?
