Do not assume that a housing answer also gives an ESA access to every shop or transport service.
Separate three kinds of paperwork
A professional ESA document, ordinary animal licensing, and an accommodation decision are different records. Keep them separately and ask what each request is intended to establish. A commercial registry should not be inserted simply to make a housing file look official.
Tell the evaluating clinician the purpose of the document and where you will receive the appointment. Ask about applicable California timing rules and appropriate verification.
Prepare for a shared building
Identify the landlord or association contact and the rule adjustment sought. If the discussion concerns elevators, common areas, or animal conduct, ask for the specific issue and consider a workable care response.
Retain the submitted request and written decision. For a disputed refusal, seek advice with the building facts and dates. A clinician can clarify professional support, while a housing adviser can examine the property question. Neither a vest nor a registry number completes that review.
